I Am Not Guilt — The Buried Core
A symbolic vessel built around the hidden center of guilt—the moment, wound, accusation, or choice around which everything else gathered.
Guilt does not always remain on the surface. It sinks.
Sometimes it begins with something we did. Sometimes with something done to us. Sometimes it was assigned by someone who needed us to carry what belonged to them.
Whatever its origin, guilt can gather years around itself until the distinction between what happened and who we are becomes difficult to see.
At the center of this vessel is a hidden obsidian core. Around it, dried matter curls inward, red fragments interrupt the structure, and darkness settles beneath—the architecture of an experience that has occupied more space than its original moment.
Ingredients & Craft Intent
-
Hidden obsidian core — the originating moment, wound, choice, or accusation
-
Black foundation — the weight guilt creates when it is allowed to settle beneath identity
-
Dried botanical matter — life and time grown around an unresolved center
-
Red fragments — pain repeatedly reopened by memory and self-judgment
-
A 17 ml Glass vessel and metal closure — containment without denial
Responsibility can be faced. Harm can be named. Remorse can exist. Repair can be attempted.
But guilt is something you experience—not what you are.
I am not guilt.
What happened is part of my truth.
It is not who I am.
Keep it where you can see it. Put it away. Set it down. Bury it, break it, or dispose of it when you are finished with it. The ending is yours.
